Hi!

I'm Jang Hoon Lee. I was born in England and lived in Korea for most of my life. I'm currently an undergraduate for the department of computer science at Purdue University.

"The one who was born a genius can't win against the one who tries, and the one who tries can't win against the one who enjoys."

Realizing that not everyone gets the opportunities that I get, I've always tried to find and help anyone in need. Starting with my first volunteer work during middle school, helping people had been my pleasure. I've worked as an officer for Hwarang, a Korean association devoted to helping the underprivileged, and participated in PLUR Seoul, where I distributed food to the homeless for most of my high school career.

When I created my first game, that marked the start of my path to becoming a computer scientist. I was enthusiastic about my new dream, as I enjoyed every part of it. While learning, I naturally started to integrate the desire of wanting to help people with my dream, autonomously providing free coding lessons for the poor and developing programs for society.

I believe my biggest strength is that I relish in all the things I've done and do in my field. All the projects I've done were started solely by my desires, and locating a problem anywhere inspires me to start on a new project that can address it. With every project, I make society a better place, and I become an improved person.
